Theology Matters
Nothing is more important than what you believe. What you believe shapes your mind and shapes how you live your life.
What We Believe About God:
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, and infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is “I AM”, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love. That in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons of God, the Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but totally harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
The Written Word of God:
We believe that the Word of God was transcribed by men divinely inspired and has been translated into the KJV of the Bible. When read by faith, the written Word of God is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; it has God for its author, salvation for its end; and truth without any mixture of error for its matter, that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of union for Disciples of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried. The Word of God is an enabler of discernment regarding the acts of the Holy Spirit.
The Fall Of Man:
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in perfection. We believe that Adam sinned and as a result things have been slowing devolving. This is why the environment is poor and genetic deformities exist. We are not born “good” contrary to popular public opinion. We are born selfish and broken but we are too ignorant to know better.
The Way:
Jesus Christ was provided by Grace. By a simple belief in his birth, life, death, and resurrection, we can be saved from our sinful state of existence. We didn’t deserve Jesus but the Father sent Him because He loves us. Jesus is our perfect example so He is qualified in every way to be a suitable, a compassionate, and all-sufficient Savior.
